Masar Mall | Promotional Film
Set within the transformative vision of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, this promotional film presents a new shopping destination at the heart of Masar, Makkah — not simply as a retail space, but as part of a fully integrated urban ecosystem. Designed to serve millions of visitors and residents, Masar redefines the relationship between movement, place, and experience.
Blending architecture, technology, and human-centered design, the project reflects a shift from traditional development to a model where cities are built as living systems — responsive, sustainable, and deeply connected to the rhythm of everyday life. Here, every step, every interaction, and every moment contributes to a dynamic environment where commerce, hospitality, and culture converge.
The film captures this vision through a narrative of flow and connection — a space where people come first, where urban design serves both present and future generations, and where Makkah continues to evolve while honoring its profound cultural and spiritual significance.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES
Developed over a two-month period, the project began with an in-depth pre-production phase, including treatments, scripts, and visual mockups to ensure full alignment of goals and expectations. Production took place in January 2025, with the entire film shot in Lisbon.
Using predominantly green screen, alongside two physical sets designed to recreate a restaurant and retail environment, the film was carefully crafted to simulate the experience of a fully operational shopping mall. Arqui9 led the 3D visualization process, creating detailed environments and plates that were seamlessly integrated into the footage.
With close attention to authenticity — from casting to traditional wardrobe — the result is a film that brings a yet-to-be-built space to life, blurring the line between concept and reality.
